Waen finishes High School

So proud of Waen!  She finished high school and then entered a school to learn how to assist nurses. She had a word that she should not stop studying. It has not been easy. Her father is off working in Taiwan so she helps her mom and younger sister with the daily responsibilities. I have been impressed by her faith. Once when we were praying for someone to receive Jesus, Waen came and whispered in my ear, "Be sure to tell them they must renounce all idol worship."  

The other day she drove her mom and younger sister over to visit me because I had been sick and her mother woke up with a vision of my face. The trip over is 45 minutes in a car. They came to pray for me. I listened as Waen told me about her new school. We are so pleased we have been able to help her and others with their education. I reminded her to live for Jesus in her new school and she said with the sweetest smile, " I pray every day!"

A trip to Chiang Mai

Can you believe such beauty?

We have some very special friends I have known since my childhood. They have supported the ministry ever since we first went out in 1990. They have been wanting to visit us for ever so long and finally, this year, in January, the time was right!  We had a week of ministry in Khon Kaen then they took us to Chiang Mai!  We were acting as their tour guides but they actually paid for everything!  What a treat!  We usually don't get to enjoy Thailand like a tourist, but this trip, we fully enjoyed it!  We went to the zoo, to an elephant farm and to a Royal Rose garden. We ate Thai food and even enjoyed a foot massage.

Thank you so much to our wonderful and dear friends. We had such a beautiful time.

Bill with a baby elephant. I was so careful not to get near and then at the last minute the mother swung her trunk right at me and threw her wet slobber all over me. So much for staying clean!
